The Mitrovica Rock School restores the rock music culture to the ethnically divided city of Mitrovica, Kosovo. At the Mitrovica Rock School, experienced local musicians train the region’s future rock stars. Every year, the two branches come together for summer schools in Skopje, Macedonia. The staff work together year round to realize our shared dream of reviving Mitrovica’s rock music tradition.
The Mitrovica Rock School’s program is based on demand-driven learning. This means that we gear our program towards what you want to learn. Because different musicians want to learn different things, you can choose from different packages.

Supergroup
The summer of 2011 saw the formation of a “supergroup” of the Rock School’s best students from north and south Mitrovica. The Artchitects are an ethnically diverse rock group of six of Mitrovica's most promising musical talents. Over the course of the 2011 Summer School, the Artchitects wrote and recorded original songs and rehearsed in preparation for the first performance abroad. On September 21, the Artchitects represented the Mitrovica Rock School at the Pax-it’s Night of Peace in Utrecht, Netherlands, sharing the stage with musicians from around the world.
The formation and recording of the Artchitects was supported in part by our very first corporate sponsorship, Jack Daniel's. With their support, both Rock School branches have been outfitted with new recording gear that will enable us to record our young musicians – and train the engineering talent of the future.
